1. About this policy
This policy explains how Gylds Limited ("Gylds", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at gylds.com and on the Gylds platform (together, the "Platform"). It applies to Members and to Visitors (anyone who browses our public website without an account). It is not part of our contract with you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal data more generally.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies do comparable jobs. For example, local storage keeps information in your browser (our login system uses it), and pixels or tags in web pages or emails tell the sender that a page or email was viewed.
"First-party" technologies are set by us. "Third-party" technologies are set by another organisation, such as a service provider.
3. How we use them
3.1 Strictly necessary
These are needed to provide the Platform you have asked for. They keep you signed in, keep the Platform secure, remember your cookie choices, and help the Platform run properly. The law does not require your consent for them, and you cannot switch them off in our settings. If you block them in your browser, parts of the Platform will not work.
3.2 Functional
These remember your preferences, such as display settings. Where they are not strictly necessary, we use them only with your consent.
3.3 Analytics
These help us understand how the Platform is used, so that we can improve it. We use them only with your consent.
3.4 What we do not use
We do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not allow third parties to use cookies on the Platform to show you advertising.
3.5 Emails
Some email technologies can tell a sender whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. If we use them, we will do so only where the law allows, and we will list them in the table in section 5.
3.6 Google sign-in
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google may set cookies on its own websites as part of the sign-in process. Google's privacy policy applies to those cookies.
4. Your choices
Where we use cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary, we ask for your consent before using them. Accepting and rejecting are equally easy, and you can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link on the Platform. You can also block or delete cookies using your browser settings, but the strictly necessary ones are needed for signing in and for the Platform to work.
5. The cookies and similar technologies we use
To be completed from a live scan of the website and platform before publishing. The rows below are likely entries and must be confirmed.
